Well, regardless of the inanity of any previous statements, in conjunction with local art consortium The Metrognome Collective, The Chat Room Pub is pleased to offer monthly installments by some of D/FW's finest emerging artists. The Chat Room Pub is located at 1263 West Magnolia, in the heart of Southside's diverse and historic Fairmount district. We share a neighborhood with a host of eclectic and delicious restaurants, such as King Tut (great Egyptian food), Spiral Diner (Ft. Worth's only completely vegan restaurant), and Scampi's (great Mediterranean cuisine). We are also surrounded by a residential area as diverse as the food you can find on this side of town. We are not a niche bar- we are a neighborhood pub whose demographic is not clearly defined by some pre-fabricated image.

Like mindless diversions? Is it not sometimes the case that alcohol alone won't drown out the sense of impending doom that plagues your every waking moment? Well, not to worry! How does four strategically placed televisions (one of which is a giant big screen), broadcasting any number of sporting events, home shopping, or Rocky movies translated into spanish, sound to you? No? More the interactive type, eh? A doer! I like that. Well, for you, we have a pool table- a staple in any decent bar. Why should we stop there? We also sport two pinball machines, vinatge arcade games, an internet jukebox and, of course, five internet terminals for your wiki/blog/mail/photo crazed self.

The Chat Room Pub isn't just a clever name. Well, actually, it is. But, it's certainly not meaningless, because in addition to all the attractions that make the Chat what it is, we also have six computers hooked up to the electronic universe. Yes, you are merely one mouse click away from showing all your friends that hilarious video of the fat kid falling down stairs at any moment during your time here. And, although we cannot verify this statement, we are fairly certain that our bar alone has logged more Myspace hours than all of Tarrant and Dallas counties combined.
